Summertime means Camp at the American Diabetes Association! Our diabetes camps provide a special time for children with diabetes — one of their best times of the summer and a time campers will always remember. Children attending our one-week day camps will experience all of the fun of outdoor activities while learning valuable lessons on positive diabetes management. Activities are planned and supervised by health care professionals experienced in diabetes management. An action-packed week of activities including arts and crafts, games, sports and diabetes education is scheduled.
Campers ages 4 to 12 are accepted on first come, first serve basis. Siblings will be accepted as space allows. Older youth, 13 – 17 may learn and practice leadership skills under the supervision of adult counselors by becoming a CIT (Counselor In Training). Registration will open on Monday, March 5, 2012 by online process or you may request a paper application. Camp New Horizons North, June 11-15th, Camp New Horizons South, June 18-22nd and Camp Aurora, June 25-29th.
