Under the leadership of Chair, Errika Flood Moultrie, the Texas Health Resources Live It Up! Tea presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Texas was an overwhelming success! The new venue, the Belo Mansion Pavilion, was the perfect place for the event. Nearly 400 women in attendance expressed the event went to another level. The “mission moment” with Dr. Eduardo Sanchez was a great opportunity to resound the Stop Diabetes message to our audience. There was just the right balance of maturity represented from the stage that kept EVERYONE engaged. Our audience is not only growing, but getting younger which will support ALL of the programs of the ADA. It is our goal to transition our audience into Walk and Tour teams and with the change in the age demographic we will only be able to better support those other programs as we move forward.
This event was made possible by the generous donation of Texas Health Resources, BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, Southwest Securities and others. Mark your calendar and plan to attend Live It Up! Tea on Sat., April 12, 2014 at the Belo Mansion Pavilion.
