North Texas Sam’s Club Associates Lace Up to Support Walk to Stop Diabetes

More than 300 associates from 20 clubs will participate in Saturday’s event!

Associates from Sam’s Club locations throughout the North Texas area are joining together to support the American Diabetes Association by participating in the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes. This event is the signature fundraising walk of the American Diabetes Association and Sam’s Club is proud to have more than 300 associates participating on Saturday.

Collectively, associates from 20 Dallas-area club locations have raised approximately $30,000 to support the ADA. The team expects to raise even more money for the cause through the company’s program called “Volunteerism Always Pays.” Through the VAP program, Sam’s Club associates are encouraged to get involved with charitable organizations that matter to them, their families and the communities they serve. In return, the company provides charitable contributions to the eligible organizations where associates volunteer.

Last year, Sam’s Club associates across the country participated in more than 500 VAP events raising $174,000 in volunteerism grants for the American Diabetes Association.

Thank you Sam’s Club for your participation in the fight to Stop Diabetes!
