I’m an extremely brittle Type I diabetic, my father passed away from cardiac complications due to Type II diabetes, my grandmother passed away from Type II complications, and I have a cousin who is a very bad diabetic.
Your success is my health’s salvation. Thank y’all for everything you do!
You supported the fight to Stop Diabetes! The American Diabetes Association North Texas was a proud participant of North Texas Giving Day. The seventh annual North Texas Giving Day has come to a close, and you did a great job! As reported at 12 a.m on September 18, 2015, $8,300 was raised for the American Diabetes Association, an increase from $3,500 in 2014.
North Texas Giving Day is an online giving event that provides nonprofits the opportunity to gain exposure to — and start relationships with — new donors, and for people in North Texas to come together to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits. Most of the activity will took place via the NorthTexasGivingDay.org website. In addition, Communities Foundation of Texas and some nonprofits hosted donation stations throughout the Metroplex.
“Thank you,” North Texans for your support on this extraordinary day! Donations raised allow the American Diabetes Association to fulfill its mission, “to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all affected by diabetes”. Our goal is to raise more funds and awareness about the seriousness of diabetes next year. Thank you again for supporting our mission.
