Volunteer Camp Nurse Opportunities
- We are looking for RNs, LPNs, and nursing students with all types of nursing backgrounds
- Our day camp run June 11-15, 2012, daily from 8:30a – 3:30p
- Work with a team of 1-2 other nurses at your camp
- Camper populations from 100 to 115 campers, ages 4 to 17
- Our camp has over 50 volunteer staff members

Camp Nurse Responsibilities
- Ensure health and safety of campers and staff
- Routine hourly finger pricks
- Communicating specific camper health needs (allergies, special diets) to counselor
- Medical record keeping
- Communicate with parents
- Participate in camp activities and events
- Treatment of non-insulin highs and lows
- First aid for minor injuries
- Participate in camp activities and events
Qualifications and Requirements
- RN or LPN degree (or nursing student-to assist in Health Center)
- Must be available for at least 1-day availability highly preferred
- Flexible– able to adapt to different environments and schedules
- Confidence in nursing skills
- Responsible, friendly, personable and team player
- Strong assessment abilities
- Prior experience with children
- Enjoy an active lifestyle

Work Schedule
8-hour shift (8:00a – 4:00p) one or more days during the week.
